Malcolm Freeman

Malcolm is a Director of the Practice with experience in a wide range of engineering projects including domestic, educational, commercial, health and industrial projects. Malcolm has led the structural design teams on many of the work examples listed below.

Farmers Site Redevelopment

Two levels of retail with a multi-level car parking facility in a central city location.

Terrace on the Park

Four multi level apartment buildings over a single level car parking basement.

Holy Grail Sports Bar

Investigation of strengthening options for the redevelopment of an historic theatre building. Redevelopment included provision for new office space and structural detailing for the retention of an intricate plaster ceiling.

Centennial Pool

A new 25m public swimming pool and leisure pool complex. All electrical services were provided by Powell Fenwick Consultants including lighting, power, security and communications.

New Brighton Library

This exciting award winning building with its unusual shape and sloping roof was designed by Powell Fenwick Consultants structural design team. Special care was taken with corrosion protection and the building was specially designed to resist tsunami.

College of Education

Structural design of various educational buildings, including a three and four storey teaching block, alterations to the gymnasium and library buildings and four new buildings for student accommodation.
