PFC are a major player in electrical building services in New Zealand. In 2008 we completed design of $17,000,000 of electrical services systems.

Our team of ten have the have the broad experience to undertake the complete range of building services projects including complex and large scale projects.

Some recent high profile developments where PFC have provided the electrical services design include:

• School of Biological Sciences at the University of Canterbury
• New Civic Offices for the Christchurch City Council
• Graham Condon Leisure Centre
• CCC No.11 Pump Station.

Amongst these 'glamour' projects we continually provide quality support to all our small and medium scale projects that cover residential, commercial, educational, industrial, hotel and hospitality fields.

Specialist Areas of Expertise

Hospital and Health Services

In the last 4 years PFC have designed the electrical services for major projects at Christchurch Public, St Georges Hospital, Burwood Hospital, Grey Hospital & Bidwell Hospital amongst other health facilities.

We have also completed the electrical design of many rest homes including Ashwood (Blenheim), Windsor & Russley Village.

Our technical expertise includes cardiac and body protection, nurse call & cardiac alert systems.

Greenstar and Energy Efficiency

Aside from delivering cost effective, efficient, and innovative electrical systems to our client's requirements, we have taken a leading role in the area of Green Buildings. Outside the boundaries of the Greenstar system we are continually investigating technologies for increasing the efficiency of building services systems and reducing the system life cycle cost.

Emergency Lighting Design

Due to the revised Building Code requirements there is a greater requirement for complete emergency lighting designs within buildings.

We have staff dedicated to emergency lighting designs.

Our designs provide cost effective solutions and our high level of documentation ensures council consents are processed quickly.

Educational Buildings

The need for flexibility in design, cost effective solutions and energy efficiency are appreciated when designing educational buildings.

The PFC electrical team have designed many educational projects from the $20 million dollar new School of Biological Sciences Building at the University of Canterbury to C-Bus School extensions.

We are the preferred electrical engineers for St Andrews College and Christ College & provide design services for many School projects.
