Powell Fenwick completed the Fire, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Civil and Acoustic engineering services for the 2014 extension of this industrial facility, including workshops and offices.

  • Mechanical services involved close environmental control of specialist areas
  • Civil included working in with Christchurch International Airports specific stormwater requirements and design of rain water harvesting system
  • Acoustic covered all aspects of the office block and assessment of noise control within open workshop areas. Office block assessment included analysis of the effects of aircraft and engine testing noise, along with internal noise separations and reverberation control. Solutions included secondary glazing to some facades. In the workshop the type and extent of treatments provided addressed concerns from previous premises regarding elevated noise levels and ability to communicate.
