Powell Fenwick has provided the structural and services engineering in for numerous Pak’nSave buildings throughout New Zealand. Recent projects have included the Queenstown, Blenheim, Timaru, Rangiora, Moorhouse and Wainoni sites. These projects have all encompassed leading edge heat recovery systems, including some of the first 100% fresh air heat pump systems in New Zealand. Other features include variable pressurisation controls to regulate odours from the butchery areas, while still reducing energy consumption. Powell Fenwick also designed the capture jet system to control steam escaping from the ovens in bakery areas. Powell Fenwick has the proven ability to design innovative and sustainable solutions, while at the same time meeting the demanding engineering requirements, for large and multi-purpose complexes.
